Vol. 2-5
So far one of the few LNs that has been consistently good. Granted, I haven"t read every sword & sorcery/fantasy LN but from what I have read, this one and Orc Eroica are the best.

Not withstanding the First Person prose (and there are multiple first person…and third person POVs. WTF!), this is a good, solid, quick read.

Good mix of action, comedy (in that deadpan/droll way), and that ‘gosh, darn wholesome’ vibe.

I got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in the Real World, too Vol 4

That finished covering season 1 in the anime, there are some differences:

Lexia, Luna and Kaori actually meet each other in this volume, and after using Yuuya’s portable bath they become fast friends (and rivals in love), There’s a side story where Luna and Yuuya take a Quest from the guild and rescue the Magic User / Witch who tried to seduce Yuuya at the guild earlier (can see why this was cut due to the fact that unless she becomes more important down the line , they can add it later). The Final difference is that Kaori didn’t accidentally wander into the fight between Master Rabbit, Yuuya and Yuti. (Realize they did this to increase the stakes of the fight, but realistically Kaori would have been killed before she made it that far by some creature fleeing the carnage the 3 combatants were unleashing) Also cut the part that revealed that the demons were the ones who gave Yuti her dark aura. It also makes sense why they send Yuti to Kaori’s school (in the Flash Forward at the end) so the Demons can’t find her

I got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in the Real World, Too* Vol 5

Yuuya’s Adventures Continue:

A lot happens. Yuti goes to School with Kaori’s help. Yuuya gains Yuti’s Demon possession, but because he’s such a good guy it really doesn’t affect him. Kaori, Yuuya & Yuti tour the Capital and Yuuya gains a new ally. (I won’t spoil it.) Yuuya fights the Diety of Fists. Lexia gets coaxed into having Yuuya fight the Diety of Swords (without his knowledge)

Nope. To much stream of consciousness, thought meandering for my taste.
Like the MC is suffering PTSD or something - which he might, that might be the twist/secret/discovery but the prose & meta humor isn’t doing it any favors for me to continue to find out.

4 chapters in, or days as they’re called here, was enough for me.
Maybe the anime will streamline the LN, or instead be based on the manga which is supposedly different.
