Chrono Crusade / Chrno Crusade

Then could this be some immediate fallout from the recently approved Comcra… er, Comcast/NBC Universal deal?

Good to see the show on Cable TV. Not sure if SYFY is like Comcrap on other Cable companies ,but I know you have to have the digital preferred packaged and a box now to get it on Comcrap now.

I won’t be watching since I have the series twice over now.

They shall be referred to as Comcrap by me until the return the Anime Network to VOD.

They have been and forevermore be referred to by me as “Comcra… er, Comcast” due to a very personal issue I have with them.

###SyFy to Start Chrono Crusade in February

2 episodes of 2003 GONZO anime listed on U.S. network’s schedule

This is fantastic news!! I’ve never been able to catch the whole series to this day. The last time this was shown was back in 2006-07 I think on Showtime Beyond. Interestingly the Funimation boxset of CC is right around the corner.

Great news, Joe! I’ll be sure to catch this one.

If you get the series on DVD you want the Chrono Crusade Complete Collection DVD (Hyb) Holiday Edition as it has all the cool extras.

The Chrono Crusade DVD Complete Collection (Hyb) also had the extras. Though the Holiday Edition as long as it remains at $29.99 is still the cheapest route to get it with all the extras. Azmaria’s Extra Classes is the main reason I’d get the ADV release over Funimation’s. Unless they are included ,but from last notice I don’t think they are.

Did this need reposted and a separate thread?

Just saw the back of Funimation’s release. Azmaria’s Extra Classes and all the extra’s except the Production sketches are on theirs from what the back cover says.

The new Funi release has been sitting in our warehouse since last week. There’s something just very sad about Chrono in lite box. Also of note, it has a slip cover but there is no difference between the slip cover and the cover on case.

So, it’s just sitting there collecting dust, or is it actually moving?

Just in case you didn’t look at slowhand’s tv schedule thread, Chrono Crusade starts tonight on SyFy.
Slick

Well it was sitting in our warehouse because we had to wait for the street date to put it out. It went out today, so I have no idea how its doing yet.

I plan on buying it but I’m holding off for now due to Syfy airing it. At least that’s the plan for now. It could change.

Did anyone else have trouble with this week’s broadcast?

I lost the broadcast about 4 minutes into the first episode and didn’t get it back until about 10 minutes into the second episode.

Very annoying to those of us who don’t own it and have never seen it before.

Chrono Crusade broadcasts have now moved to Thursdays.

I was beginning to wonder why Syfy is playing musical lineup with their anime lately. First Monday, then the switch (briefly) to Tuesday and NOW Thursday. That is worrying me.

Then again they might have purposely wanted to air encores of Destination Truth and Marcel’s Quantum Kitchen so viewers can keep up so it appears to be no big deal.

I think I missed those. I wonder if they had a storm.

Well, it seems Funi made the same deal for Chrono Crusade that CPM and Bandai made for their shows. Manga has now uploaded the series to iTunes. Interestingly enough, the copyrights still say AD Vision.

It’s also on Manga’s PSN channel as well, with the AD Vision copyright as well.
On a side note, Aniplex has a channel on there as well, with Durarara, the two GL movies, and some other stuff as well.
But besides all that, what I find interesting is that Media Blasters has not only the second season of Ikki Tousen up, no surprise there, but they have the first season as well, something I’d have thought Funi would have.
