Complaints and Suggestions regarding the Forum software

On the front page, the LATEST POSTS section has five blog posts and a link.
The link for “http://www.theanimenetwork.com/myblogmore…” does not work, which means the older posts cannot be read.

It has never worked, don’t know why. But you can find all the blog postings in the http://www.theanimenetwork.com/component/option,com_kunena/Itemid,183/catid,3/func,showcat/ forum.

Right, so a simple redirect of http://www.theanimenetwork.com/myblog to http://www.theanimenetwork.com/component/option,com_kunena/Itemid,183/catid,3/func,showcat/ is all it takes. Should be a really simple fix.

See http://www.theanimenetwork.com/component/option,com_kunena/Itemid,183/catid,5/func,view/id,114145/limit,10/limitstart,10/#114340 for a description of the problem.

  1. Upload image with posting does not work.

At the bottom of the edit-message area, there is a line for Attachments with an Add File ] button. That button does not work. All that happens is onMouseOver=“Allowed file extensions\n jpg, jpeg, gif, png, zip, txt, doc,gz,tgz” follows the mouse.

Clicking on Add File ] does nothing.

  1. Using the URL to a photo uploaded to your own album does not work.

img ] http://www.theanimenetwork.com/images/originalphotos/3839/79/5b5af5d00353ab2ec49a5445.jpg img ]
gets converted to
http://www.theanimenetwork.com/images/originalphotos/3839/79/5b5af5d00353ab2ec49a5445.jpg (http://static.theanimenetwork.com/images/originalphotos/3839/79/5b5af5d00353ab2ec49a5445.jpg)
which does not show up inline.

ROTATING BANNER FAILURE

several times recently the banner has failed to display and only displays the text associated with the IMG tag. each time it is the exact same text:

another-1.jpg

i can make assumptions all day long what this must mean and which show and image it relates to, but since im an idiot with technology, i will let the suits figure it out and sort it out.

I am not sure if this is the correct thread to post in, but here I go.

I would like to suggest adding an option to messages that allows you to remove yourself from receiving any new additions to the message. It has been a rather big problem with some users (myself included ^-^; ) who get dragged into mass-messages and then log on to see they have 30+ new messages, with many more on the way (half of which being people telling others to stop).

If it is at all possible, I would like to ask for the addition of a “Remove Me” button added to messages that will automatically remove you from recieving any messages or updates to a conversation. Thank you. :3

Are you talking about PMs (Personal Messages)?

Silly me, I didn’t even know there were mass messages…
(Don’t take that as a hint! I get enough messages already!)

Yes, that happens with the PM’s. I fixed it by removing people who do that from my friends list. Iron K is a nicer person than I am, so that’s probably not the desired solution.

On Facebook, when you get a mass message, you can choose to “Leave Conversation.” So, it’s possible, I just don’t know if it’s possible on TAN.

Good grief. Ok, I’ll pass this along.
I suppose that because I only friend people who post in the forums I’ve missed this?

Same, my inbox is suddenly being flooded with this crap and already getting me pissed.

Still having that garbage show up in my inbox.

Is it the same message? Or a new one?

It may take some time for it to die off, if it’s the same one.

If it’s a new one, please PM me the details.

Its the same one.

Are people complaining about it, or are they actively trying to keep it alive?

Sending you a PM…

I had a small ‘tweak’ suggestion for when adding a hyperlink to a post. I find it strange that when a hyperlink is added using the button above that when inserted, the link information line is placed at the top of the post. Of course, just selecting and dragging the link to the appropriate spot corrects this… it just seems like something that is very unnecessary.

This can be frustrating while you are in the middle of composing a long post and then decide to add a link at the end of what you were writing. This is especially cumbersome if there is a lot of boardcode editing present in the post. It would be much appreciated if when this option is used that the inserted link would go at the bottom rather than the top if possible.

Thank you.

When creating (or editing) a post, the Attachments button does not work.

Both catid,18/do,new/func,post and catid,18/do,edit/func,post exhibit this problem.

[size=4]Request: Adjust the forum software to not show the Attachments until such time as it is fixed.[/size]

Ordered lists ol ] and unordered lists ul ] do not show up correctly.

This was first reported back in 2009 and has not been fixed even though the forum software (Kuneha) and the site software (Joomla) have been upgraded several times during the last three-plus years.

Test of ol ] - Both “One” and “Two” should have visible digits in front.

1. One

1. Two

Test of ul ] - Both lines should have a visible bullet (or asterisk) in front.

- Alpha

- Beta

Generated HTML code:[code]Test of ol ] - Both "One" and "Two" should have visible digits in front.

According to the list of http://www.kunena.org/docs/index.php?title=Kunena_Features, Numbered Lists and Bulleted Lists are supported in all versions of Kunena.

Is there something wrong with the site-specific CSS?
