Wawa used to have a grilled chicken that would sit in a warm brine. Some American cheese, parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and Cesar dressing on it was good around 3am. Salt of the brine on the Chicken brought out the flavors of everything. By the time got to the car the cheese was just the right amount of soft. Added some bacon once and regretted it. Add in a jumbo hot dog with ketchup and 3 kinds of mustard. Plus a Sobe of some sort in the glass bottle. It lost its flavor when they switched to plastic. Wawa’s sweet tea was also a bit less watered down back then. They also used to have this brand of gelato custard in the freezer that I can not remember the name of but tasted really good.
Interestingly, the Florida locations don’t have hot dogs. I remember them fondly from when I used to live in Maryland, but in the five years I’ve worked at Wawa in Florida, I’ve never seen a hot dog sold.
I think they may have done away with them at all of them here years back. Kind of a shame as I seem to recall they also had something similar to the Bahama Mama kelbasa’s 7/11 used to sell just not dried out from sitting on the rollers for days on end.
Wawa used to be more drunk friendly than they are now to though so getting rid of the easy to do stuff was probably some kind of subtle way of trying to distance away from them. Did not work.
Royal Farms by the way if you need to sober someone up the chicken subs and potato wedges are good for it.
Yami: “Wow!!! It’s pretty much like they mixed the Nacho Cheese and Salsa flavors together, with a tiny bit of spice! They’re super good if you’re able to find them! And by the looks of the packaging, it’s a 4th of July limited release!”
Have had this bag for a few weeks now (around early May), but never got around to trying them. The package has a best by date of June 3rd, so… Gonna try them anyways! Lol.
Yami: “I can’t say we’re a fan of the flavor itself. The Korean seasoning is nowhere near as good as the Galbi Chicken Doritos we had last year in NYC. Oh. Just so you all know, the chips still taste perfectly fine by the way. Lol.”
Yami: “The hot dog is great! It’s a beef dog with tomato, lettuce, mustard, onions, relish, and peppercini peppers! And the steak is so tender, with the bun soaked in au jus! Now the complaints… It is expensive… Our order was $21… With a sandwich, shake, and hot dog with nothing added to any of it. It’s $1 to add either sweet or banana peppers to the steak sandwich… Adding cheese sauce is $2… And we didn’t get fries, which we didn’t check the price of. We do know a combo is $16 with a regular soda, which we didn’t get. So as a treat, it’s not bad, but a bit costly.”
Yami: “Hmm… It’s definitely pickle flavored… In the same sense that pickle flavored chips are… But… Not that great… It passes, if you’re craving both a slim jim and a pickle, but you could just buy a slim jim and a pickle, and eat them together. It would taste better.”
Yami: “The best description I can give is a snack rice cake, except potato chip. The seasoning is a bit on the lite side too. $1.25 isn’t too bad a price though.”
