Voice Actress Unit StylipS Performs “High School DxD BorN” ED
8th single “Give Me Secret” will be released on May 27

Lantis has posted a 90-second short PV for four-member voice actress unit StylipS’ 8th single “Give Me Secret” on its official YouTube channel. The song will be featured as the ED song for the upcoming TV anime third season High School DxD BorN. Back in early 2012, their debut single “STUDY x STUDY” was used as the ED song for the TV anime first season, in which one of the members Maho Matsunaga voiced Li.
The TV anime third season will premiere in Japan next Saturday, April 4. Then “Give Me Secret” will be released on May 27.

###Funimation Unveils High School DxD BorN Broadcast Dub Cast

Josh Grelle, Kelly Angel replace Scott Freeman, Teri Rogers for season 3
That or you don’t even make the effort to get the original cast back (Ghost in the Shell). I was worried about this, and now my fears are confirmed. I’d rather they not Broadcast dub this show for exactly this reason.

Whoa, this ain’t right. Not right at all. Josh Grelle is great, but he’s no Scott Freeman (does he still dub?). The one show that I didn’t want Funi to broadcast dub, they dub; to quote Adam Jensen, “I didn’t ask for this”. Honestly, who did?
They’d be better off putting all their effort into making a solid dub for Blood Blockade Battlefront, a show that even its ANN reviewer says would work better with a dub.
Funi has said that they’ll make a “real” dub for anything given a broadcast dub. Will that mean that they’ll replace Grelle with Freeman on the physical release? Because, if not, the odds of me buying it are low.
They should be able to make, “real.” Dub’s just within this timeframe given their size and staff. One-two dudes off ANN was saying that these dubs will put a run for Sentai’s money. Yet average or below average after below average dubs later, and now the recast card gets pulled. And they haven’t commented yet about this lol. Sure I gave up DxD, but points need to be deducted for this. Just like Horizon S2. Though I would give plus if Jamie had to be recast. I guess I should change my subscription now.
I agree that the Broadcast Dubs haven’t been too spectacular. Funi has made some normal dubs recently that are at Broadcast level but they’re still the exception. I’m still wondering if Funi will renege on its claim that it’ll redub the broadcast dubs for physical release.

for Horizon S2
The weird part of Horizon S2 was that, for the most noticeable cast change, they swapped and expanded the roles of actresses who were already in the show. I’m still wondering why they had Maggie Flecknoe take over SCB’s original role after SCB was “promoted” to main character status since Maggie Flecknoe did a decent SCB impersonation when playing SCB’s former character; why not just have SCB play both?
The Illich & Mungle recasts were disappointing as it was pretty obvious that they were different actors, especially since they recast the unique sounding Mungle with the unique, but different, sounding David Matranga.
Freeman and Grelle aren’t worlds apart in voice, making them more like the Flecknoe for SCB substitution, but Grelle doesn’t quite sound like him and Grelle’s voice is so known to me that it’ll stick out, in a bad way, even though I’m a fan of Grelle’s work. I’ll try the first ep…
The other really interesting fact is they Didn’t list the ADR, Which I’m betting changed as well.

Well, as expected, I see that the fans have one-upped Funimation by muxing the broadcast dub with the uncensored video. Quelle Surprise. 
There are some "localizations" in the dub script that seem out of character, like the scriptwriter just wanted them in there because they're cool and shoehorned them in for that reason, and even the returning voice actors sound weird by and large:
Issei and Akeno tag-team an obscure movie reference, like something Anthony “Tony” DiNozzo or Remington Steele would do. Tyson Rinehart’s character…has anyone used “jive” or “fly” like that in 40 years? And, of course, “Her scouting level is OVER 9000!!!”
Xenovia is having some issues. Grelle really doesn’t sound like Freeman and Akeno is weird. Jamie Marchi is voicing Rias very differently as well. The only ones who really sound as they did before are Koneko and Asia.
I’m not really liking the idea that the show has decided that every deity from every religion ever exists. When Rage of Bahamut did it, it was set up from the get-go so it didn’t seem like a cop-out.
