Lucky Star OVA - 43 minutes - $14.98 - 8/4/09 [Sub Only]

Features
Japanese 2.0 Language, English Subtitles, Special Live Recording of Lucky Star Channel Radio Show, Special Lucky Star Event at Washinomiya Shrine

Sub only like most of us were figuring would be the case.
Price is good though.
For Bandai Entertainment from now on expect if it is not on TV no dub.

Bandai also cut the last LE for the series so this should have been even more expected.

I’m ashamed to admit how much Lucky Star crap I own. I love this show. If you liked Azumanga Daioh then you’ll like this (most likely).

PIC UNRELATED

okay, I lied about the pic being unrelated.

I’ll admit it, I have Tsukasa issues.

This chick might be the most frightening character ever created. She’s like an animated Hitler.

She got Escaliborg, EVERYONE RUN!!!

Yuri wedding madness

This pic is one of the most awesome things I’ve ever beheld

Alright, proceeding to drop the lucky star gif bomb on ya’all
putting the gif bomb in spoilers for people who can’t stand tons of moving crap

The world needs more Lucky Star  (Especially since Bandai stopped releasing DVD’s and Manga meaning no more LS unless another company picks it up :frowning: )

(In advance, sorry for the double post, no one has posted since my last post about 2 weeks ago)

I figured I’d ask this here. Why is disk 6 of Lucky Star so rare? I understand Bandai no longer produces DVD’s and Vol 6 of Lucky Star didn’t have a Limited Edition release, but was the regular release a short print? Or was it something like Eureka Seven Vol 11 which not only had a shorter print run, but many of the first run disks were defective?

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Interesting Facebook post from Funimation:

Does that mean it’s coming soon?

How do you Eat this thing?

Ah the Choco-Cornet. Yep, I’d bet they have the materials in house and are working on it. I’ve got all the Bandai DVD releases which were pretty nice, so I’m likely to only be interested if their Blu-Ray is reasonable.

meh, it’s still a fun show, it just doesn’t really have replay value; as I found out couple of weeks ago
so I’m good as is.

Per RACS

After Funi announced their July release schedule, a lot of folks wrote in asking if the Lucky Star OVA’s would be getting dub treatment this time around. The solicitation material didn’t say, so I reached out to the brand manager down in Flower Mound, who said:

To be expected, Funimation is working with the original Bandai produced materials for Lucky Star. It would be a logistic nightmare to try and re-unite the dub cast from the series and have them do the OVA.
