I’m Zugachico Zolano, or just Zugachico.
I’m a 31 year old male who likes watching anime with lots of cute girls in them (Ecchi, CGDCT, Idol, and Shonen High School anime). Although sadly, most of them don’t get dubbed these days so I end up not watching them. Instead I end up watching garbage I hate (Isekai and Fantasy) because I only watch English dubs. Such is the life of a dub fan these days. I miss the fanservice era.

How did you find this place? I honestly thought that with the closure of the main Anime Network site, we would not see new members here, as that was the only place that would link to the forums (with a high search rating at least)
Would be useful to know if we wanted a way to drive more traffic here.

I searched Days with My Stepsister under the “forums” section of google search and the thread for that show appeared so I clicked on it. I was just looking for somewhere to rant since Crunchyroll announced they are releasing the anime subtitle only on Blu-ray.
I don’t think my scenario will be that useful for acquiring more members.
Honestly, I don’t even know what Anime Network is.
Welcome to TAN forums @Zugachico!
I see you are a dub aficionado who enjoys Highschool romance series.
Out of curiosity, have you seen The Dangers In My Heart? It’s two seasons, and personally one of my favorite dubs of 2023 and 2024!
Also, Hidive is dubbing another Highschool romance currently: 2.5 D Seduction. It’s often compared to Dress Up Darling plotwise, but it’s honestly a really good show!
On the Ecchi side of things, Plus Sized Elf just finished it’s dub last week, and Beheneko: The Elf Girl’s Cat Is Secretly An S-Ranked Monster is almost completely dubbed as well! Though, both are technically fantasy, and Beheneko is technically a reincarnation series…
All 4 of these series are dubbed in English and all are available on Hidive!

Now that I think about it, I have heard of The Anime Network streaming service actually back in the day.
2.5 Dimensional Seduction’s anime is not Ecchi since unfortunately it is almost entirely censored. The manga is Ecchi but not the anime. Most Ecchi fans like myself were not happy about the anime adaptation.
Beheneko is the only show you mentioned that is actually Ecchi. The word Ecchi means sexy, some of the shows you mentioned aren’t just not Ecchi, their flat out the opposite of Ecchi, as in straight up disgusting. Just because something has nudity does not make it Ecchi. I said I want to watch shows with cute girls and quite frankly, you are mentioning some shows with the exact opposite of that, gross girls. No thanks. So I’d maybe consider watching Beheneko, but honestly, from what I’ve seen the fanservice doesn’t seem to have been that good and I mentioned in the OP how I don’t like Fantasy so it’s kinda meh.
Only one on that list I’d watch is The Dangers in My Heart, but I haven’t watched it as of now.
I’ve been really frustrated with Sentai Filmworks dub choices the last several years…and sort of throughout their entire history. Most of the shows they’ve dubbed recently just turn me off, either from the very premise being a no thanks from me or from being a censored adaptation or just not being interesting. Life as Inukai-san’s Dog is the one I really wanted them to dub and they didn’t, despite it being cheaper to dub than most shows due to only needing to pay a few VAs and it being half length episodes. Then I wanted them to dub Spy Classroom, and despite it’s popularity they still didn’t. Currently I’m hoping they’ll dub Whisper Me a Love Song but I’m guessing they won’t. So aside from Love Flops they haven’t dubbed anything I wanted to watch since I don’t know, 2020?
Someone elsewhere said Sentai seems to have changed their strategy from dubbing popular shows to dubbing critically acclaimed shows instead. If that’s the case, they may never dub anything I’m interested in again since the “acclaimed” shows are never ones I want to watch and the shows I’m interested in (Ecchi) get bad ratings precisely because they are Ecchi.
I’m not very high on 2020s anime in general. The greatest anime of the 2020s to me is Assault Lily Bouquet, which I’d only rate about a 7 or 7.5 out of 10.
