Akame ga KILL!

Shoulda done a third season. I’m fearful that 2 seasons won’t be enough time to satisfactorily end the series.

Due to its spoilery nature, I’ll just post the link and you can choose to read it or not.

The article asserts that there are 2 ways to watch the show. There’s a third way, the way that realizes the show is a dark comedy and allows the show to be watched without having to either emotionally invest in or emotionally distance oneself from the characters.

Just because violence hasn’t solved the problems yet doesn’t mean that it won’t. Contending that Night Raid should have effected major change already or that the Capital should have obliterated them by now = shenanigans.

Why did the least interesting character win the recent fight against one of the most interesting characters in the show?

:frowning:

I’ve actually been wanting her to die since we met her.

But who will dispense justice now?

They all do in their own little way.
They’re all just as twisted in their moral high ground as she was.

The other characters don’t have a habit of insanely talking about justice, while blind to their hypocrisy, so it just won’t be the same. The crazy characters are always the best characters IMO.

Considering that the character was survived for well over a minute after being cut in half, I have to wonder if she could have survived had she not made that choice.

Looks like Tatsumi is still living in his predecessor’s shadow lol. If there were any justice in the world then Lubbock would be ranked higher but Lubbock’s is the hard knock life (Though Tatsumi might have it worse:Bulat then Esdeath…).

Hopefully Sentai can get its hands on some cardboard cutouts like those for AGK. I haven’t seen too many cardboard cutouts adorning convention booths lately

If what they showed at the end of Episode 21 goes unchanged then the show has finally rid itself of its least interesting character and justice has been done after all.

Also, every character in this show must have phenomenal hearing (or that arena was built by the greatest acoustic engineer ever) as characters were carrying on a normal conversation across 100s of feet using only their “inside voices”

Episode 21 –

Oh, no! Not Mine! I knew this was going to end up being an “everybody dies” type of show, but I really wanted Mine to survive. Actually, I was hoping a few of the other characters would survive as well. So much for hope! At this point, I wonder if even Tatsumi will survive to the end.

With how Aldnoah.Zero ended its first season, I’m not sure if anyone will live.

I happened on a wiki, it seems at some point, the story changed from how the manga was going. There’s a chance the anime over took the manga as well. I guess like how the first FMA anime was like.

The Anime jumped ahead about 20ish chapters after Episode 19, to go for an Anime Original Ending.

If the Crunchyroll comments about the way the manga went are true then I’m glad that they went this way. The debauchery of the teleporter seemed redundant and would need censoring/abridging (we’ve already got a cast of amoral characters who do dirty deeds in the name of “justice”) and I have no idea why people are bemoaning the lack of a very graphic torture scene as why would anyone want to see that?

The anime throwing a curveball at all of those manga readers who were smugly spoiling the series up until that point was karmic justice. Personally I’ve found several anime-only endings to be better than the manga endings so I’m hoping for the best here.

I hear that the manga is really heavy on the stereotypical tsundere romance. I’m still overloaded on that after finishing the Toradora dub so I’m glad the AGK anime nixed that. Maybe getting rid of the dime-a-dozen tsundere will force the japanese otaku to broaden their horizons?
