Anime Network Online Player Reports/Problems/Updates Thread

Hello Cowbaka,

Can you confirm if you are still experiencing the sputtery playback on Tamako Market, and Little Busters! Dub?

If yes, can you confirm what episode/s this is occurring in?

Be sure to also clear your cache, cookies and History so your session is starting new.

Thank you,

-Mo-

trying to watch from the new world but nearly as soon as it starts playing it has to stop to load up more I kind of expect this to be fast since I’m paying for it. I have cleaned my cache and cookies so I don’t think that’s the problem. Then even if I wait a long time for it to load the animation constantly freezes and the sound keeps going. I cant watch anything like this
Online Player Technical Issue Report
We need to know some specific information in order to troubleshoot your issue:

 • Give us a short summary of the problem you are experiencing with the Online Player. Quantifiable details are much more helpful than qualitative notes. (ex.: ā€œX Page took 9 seconds to loadā€ vs. ā€œThe page took a long time to loadā€)

 • Is this a new issue that you are experiencing or has it been going on for a while? Is is happening consistently, more frequently than not, or infrequently?

Basic details we need:

 • What Operating System are you using? Which version is it? (Windows Vista, Mac 10.4, etc)
 • What Browser are you using? Which version is it? (Chrome, Internet Explorer 7, FireFox 3.6, etc)
 • Is it happening in just one Browser or in multiple browsers? Please specify which browsers are being affected.

Tell us about your internet connection:

 • What type of connection are you using? (Cable, DSL, WiFI, ect)
 • Run a speed test and post the download speed results - we recommend http://www.speedtest.net/
 • Who is your Internet Service Provider (ISP)?

If you are having trouble with long loading time or choppy video playback, we need to know:

 • Important: Are you using the Native JW Player, Embedded Hulu Player or mobile browser player?
 • Affected Show Title(s) - is it happening to a particular show, certain shows or everything that you have tried to watch? Please give us at least 1 example, so we can test it.
 • Affected Episode(s) - is it happening to a particular episode, certain episodes or all episodes? Please give us at least 1 example, so we can test it.
 • Affected Language Version - if the show is Dual Language, is it the dubbed, dubbed or both versions that are affected?
 • Affected Video Format - is it the SD, HD or both versions that are affected?
 • Is your Flash Player/Plugin up to date?
*** For the fastest response, it is highly recommended that you post your issue in this thread - Moderators and Admins will see it faster and there’s a chance that one of our fellow users might know the answer of have a suggestion. *

If you are having problems watching videos on an iOS Device (iPad, iPhone or iPod)
Head over to the http://www.theanimenetwork.com/component/option,com_kunena/Itemid,65/catid,5/func,view/id,62294/ Thread.

Currently on a Mac running OS X 10.9.4 and I tried to clock my the current Internet speed earlier and it was about 80 Mbps for download speed. I’m at someone else’s house right now though and at home it’s around 20-25 mbps. I’ve tried to watch episodes HD but after waiting for about 45 seconds to a minute for the episode to start, only about 4 seconds plays before it starts buffering again. Not sure what the problem is. When I go on another (Illegal) site like KissAnime, the video plays fine in 1080p. Same with YouTube videos since the players are rather similar between the two sites. My flash player is fully up to date as well. I have attempted to use this site with the latest versions of FireFox, Chrome, and Safari but to no avail. My laptop is a 15 inch 2013 Macbook Pro (just making sure I’m thorough about explaining everything). Also, I think it is worth noting that prior to trying to watch anime I was experiencing problems trying to update my profile information. I entered something in every field to try and avoid the bug that causes the site to not update the information but it still wouldn’t update regardless. I also just subscribed today even though I’m not sure what that has to do with anything. But yeah, so far I haven’t been able to watch anything on this site. It also can take forever to just load pages on here. Maybe I’m on when the traffic is high and the servers are being overloaded. It’s 7:23 pm where I live at the time I’m typing this. Any help on this matter would be appreciated but I understand if no one responds. I’m starting to just feel like a lost cause since I’m coming here after getting tired of dealing with the occasional stuttering on Crunchyroll. At least there I was able to get up to 3-4 minutes of smooth playback in 1080p before any stuttering occurred.

It seems to have been done today though if not that day! :cheer: (All shows tested appear to align center within the landscape space given by TAN for the embedded Hulu player.)

As an interesting side note…

-note: using IE11-

I noticed this this morning when I tested the new episodes.
The native player is now off center as well as the series summary type.
Both the native player and the type use to be centered with the centered background cover image (which, for the most part, is still centered).

The Anime Network is only licensed for North American countries US/Canada. Sorry about that.

Umm for some reason Google has listed this site as a Maleware site any help about getting it fixed caused now that it has done that, I’m locked out for everything… I’m running it on Firefox browser…

One of the ads (as mentioned in the other community help thread) seems to be triggering google’s malware warnings and possibly also causing that invalid certificate thing as well. Sadly I can’t find out which one from Google information…because that would be too easy for them to LIST the object in question.

You would think it be easiest to protect people if you told them which file was the suspicious one but NO!, that would be TOO easy!

So someone might want to check the Hulu ads, or the TAN ads to make sure there isn’t something funny going on with one of them.

Anyway Log Horizon 21 (ANO Hulu player)didn’t work one time today, and is now working and the only reason it didn’t earlier was because an ad didn’t come through so hope I wasn’t infected with anything in these untested and non-secure 3rd party ads…

(No, I don’t know which ad, because the ad didn’t play and they don’t have episode titles or numbers)

Sounds like google is run by the government…lol…Why make it easy? Then we all might start getting the feeling of accomplishment…Well hope you get it fixed soon and best of luck.

Bitdefender gave me this…

Google has this site on the black list. But, when I tried a couple tools to double check, it shows clean. It’s conflicting information…

Right now my security won’t let the CSS load, so it could still be the ad and if the CSS is after the ad, that would explain the issue.

In regards to the CSS not loading, can you confirm what browser this is occurring in. Also, can you confirm what page/s are you seeing this in.

Thank you,

Sorry, Just checked on this thread. It seems to be working now, just got back on since the day it happened. Browser is Firefox and it was on the most of the site other than when I viewed my profile and the forum. So when I tried the videos, front page, etc, everything was in a list view and not formatted. I’m assuming that the issue was figured out?

Thanks

Sorry I can’t give a lot of details. It was about two days ago and it’s not doing it right now to even check things.

Thank you for the update Weaksid.

Starting about the 2:17 mark, subtitles are missing while the character is speaking.

With subtitles coming back around the 2:23 mark.

I haven’t finished with the whole episode yet, but if any more instances pop up, I’ll edit this post.

Akame ga KILL! needs more placeholders added for the rest of the episodes.
