TWC Carson, CA 90745

It seems that I’ve been banished to the hinterlands by TWC. Still missing Sunday Without God Episode 07 (Goran Academy I) from 2/13, ALL episodes from the 2/20 update, and now the 3/13 updates are MIA!

TWC, as per usual, shifted the blame for the 2/13 and 2/20 update failures on TAN. However, I am hoping that the 3/13 updates are only a day late as TWC has been very lax about updating the VOD programming.

Episode 6 was a subtitled episode only, so that episode wasn’t sent out. That means that the numbering on the schedule (and on the VOD) is one off.

Please try resetting your set top box again and if that doesn’t work, give Cox a call, they have told us that all episodes should be appearing. They need to hear from you about this.

Be sure to ask to speak to someone familiar with the VOD service.

Well, we are back to the drawing board. There is only 1 week’s worth of past updates remaining in the anime section of the Wave VOD menus. On 3/19 everything will be gone. I hope some new information comes soon on this… what’s the deal, WAVE!?

I will keep this as a friendly reminder to put in a note for the Wave Broadband VOD schedule to be fixed and have all SVOD content entries removed. If Sober gets the time to correct it… that would be great! Thank you as always.

Wave Broadband VOD Schedule:
https://www.theanimenetwork.com/Whats-On/Anime-Network-Video-on-Demand/Wave-Broadband

Time Warner Cable in part owner of InDemand that TAN switched to to deliver its VOD content. TWC was given a bid to buy it from Comast and Charter (both also part owners of InDemand) and Comcast won. Though the government hasnt approved the merger of Comcast and TWC, TWC is gearing up and moving towards thing for the actual sale, so InDemand is probably not very important to them right now. This means ALL VOD from InDemand is likely to suffer as TWC jsut acts lazy and waits for the merger to happen and many people are fired by Comcast.

So there is a really good chance that TWC is the cause, not just Wave. :frowning:

Wane… LOL! Thanx for the intel, Shadzar. That makes sense with why things have been so inconsistent so far. Do you happen to know the date that this all went down? I only ask this since Wave’s track record since this year started has been terrible.

Well, great! Just one more thing to add to the trouble pile. Again, thank you for letting me know. I used to keep up with that stuff in the past though I have slacked off recently. Damn corporate nonsense none the less.

Hey Lumis,

The acquisition of TWC will not affect receipt of content for Wave or any other MSO as things stand right now. Typically when content is not put up, there is some hold up with the MSO itself. iNDEMAND has a really great track record of delivering content to MSOs on time and without a problem. Although there have been a few glitches at iND before, it is not typical. I know we’ve discussed before, but it is really better to contact your MSO when content is missing for longer than a week or you experience repeated issues. I, of course, contact them weekly on behalf of you guys, but I have no control over what actually happens on their ends. I wanted to address this personally, as it is not accurate that the acquisition of TWC affects or will affect how and when iND delivers content. To date, there’s been no change in iND’s operations. Should that change, I will tell everyone what to expect as soon as I know.

Other than the Wave issues, I hope you’re doing well!

Best Regards,
S

when given the choose of the lesser of two evils (TWC or no TV/internet services) doing without TWC involved in anything would be the choice most people would make. but then as they bought Verizon, who owns Clearwire, and selling of to Comcast and part owners of IND… then for anyone who has to have (which means anyone after DTV federal act) service, just accept you are screwed if you have to deal with TWC at all. :side:

Oh I understand perfectly. It was all just speculation. For the last 2 months though, as you can tell by the reports Slow sends you, Wave has really been dropping the ball. I don’t believe that this was an iNDEMAND distribution hiccup though due to the time involved. I understand as well regarding contacting them. In the past for me it has always been a headache getting a hold of someone that is familiar with VOD. I do have that premier customer service number this time around that I can use… hmmm.

I know that you are very busy, however I have figured you would have a better chance getting the right answers than I most of the time. If you happen to find anything out… feel free to let me know anytime. But, that is only if you have the time. If this next Thursday rolls around and no new content updates come in from down the pipes, I will contact them and see if I can get any answers as well. This is the second almost full month hiccup in a row. Like I said… what’s the deal, WAVE!

It was good to hear from you though. I appreciate the help you do for all of us and our MSOs! Thank you and hopefully these little issues will stop troubling us someday… LOL! Take care, Sober!

TWC Carson, CA 90745

Still missing ALL of the 3/13 updates; the 2/20 updates showed up very late 3/14 pm (will expire on schedule 3/20, maybe before). Sunday Without God Episode 7 “Goran Academy 1” may have shown up early 3/14 (it was listed before 1 am 3/14, but could not be watched - error message when selected; gone by 9 am 3/14).

TWC is having serious problems with VOD. Several primetime program episodes from FOX and SYFY (plus several other channels) from 2/10-2/21 as well as the TAN programming during were missing until last week (it took me nearly a week to convince TWC customer service that the problem wasn’t at my end, and their engineering team nearly a month to resolve and restore the missing programming (that hadn’t expired during the interim).

When I reported the current problem with last week’s updates, TWC insisted on sending a service tech out to “fix” the problem. Apparently, TWC has a website twcondemand.com which they insist has the latest and correct information of programming currently available for VOD. When I showed him the VOD list on the aforementioned website and showed him the menu on the cable box, he agreed that the menu was missing items that the website indicated were there. In the meantime, I’ve noticed new programming from FOX and SYFY from last week that are missing as well as the TAN episodes that I’ll be reporting to TWC tomorrow. Wish me luck!

TWC likes to blame the other guy as I have said many times before, blame TAN, blame SyFy, etc… and they are still doing it even though they ARE the other guy since they own part of InDemand.

sadly some people think it is a joke how TWC acts and tries to play the blame game. they must have not had to deal with them for 20+ years to know how TWC acts, but yeah… the merger with comcast, TWC general laziness and trying to scam its customers and many other things i have reported in various threads here before.

NOTE: NEVER let a person saying they are from TWC into your home, you can exchange your box at the door and hook the new one up. TWC uses sub-contractors who are not liable for damages they do, and TWC claims THEY also are not liable because they are not the company that came to your home.

if you want to try, unplug the power from your box. leave it unplugged for a minute. then plug it back in and that shoudl get the new program. it is that time of year where TWC can’t figure out how to change the clocks, so a month of problems always occur those 2 times a year.

The report for the last week & all follow-ups was compiled and sent to Anime Network today.

Hey Lumis,

I have the report on my desk and will certainly contact Wave today!

I’m never too busy to try my best to help you guys out. You are all the reason we do what we do here, and we absolutely want you all to have the best experience possible. So if you need me, I’ll be on the front lines battling it out with the cable companies.

Have a marvelous day,

TWC Carson, CA 90745

I spoke to a TWC customer service rep in San Diego, CA today. He confirmed that twcondemand.com is supposed to be the current and “correct” list of VOD programming for TWC customers. He also confirmed that the TAN (and Fox, and SYFY) programming listed on the website that I cited as being available per the website was not on the TWC VOD menu in San Diego either! My problems with the missing TAN episodes appears to be much greater and more widespread than TWC wants to admit. This appears to be a rerun of the issues encountered with the 2/20 TAN (and other) non-updates.
