getting the stuff to make a gif isn’t the problem, but whenever I do make one, they turn out extremely slow for whatever reason. I would use photoshop, but it’s incredibly expensive. Even with a student discount it’s still around $200 (which, when you think about it, is still 80% off)

The only free program I know of that’s good at making gif images is the GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP). But I really don’t like GIMP that much. It’s supposed to work, and I know that it does, but for whatever reason it doesn’t for me.
