Anime Network Subscriptions Thread

Ok, I’ve been having problems with my current Credit Card expiring in a month, and I’m wondering how I go about updating my card info as I don’t have the slightest clue where to find that information when I’m logged in. I did do a quick forum search about this, but as I’m about to leave for work I don’t have the time for a thorough search.

Down at the bottom of the forums, there is a FAQ with the info in it.

It tells you where to email.

Thanks.

So here’s an interesting issue… A while back I sent an email asking if I could somehow change my subscription to yearly or quarterly instead of the monthly plan that I currently had. I got this response:

So I waited on it, and in about 24 hours I got another email

So I figured that even though the subscription is canceled I would still have whatever time I had remaining on my subscription left. So I decided to wait until my subscription ran out before resubscribing (by that I mean wait until it no longer says “premium” next to my name).

My subscription began June 4, 2010 and if my definition of a month is correct, should have ended July 4, 2010 give or take a day. Well, it’s now July 25, 2010 and I still have “Premium” next to my name at the top, and I can still watch subscriber only videos. As far as I can tell, my credit card hasn’t been charged since I first subscribed. I’m not really sure if that’s supposed to happen, so I decided I would bring it to the attention of whoever reads this.

Forwarded to Admin.

When I tried to sign up back in February, I remember having some problems. I was sent an e-mail saying that there had been some issues with the site. I was given 10 days of free subscription as consolation. I still have access to premium material, and I don’t know if I should.

I probably should have told you guys about this sooner. =(

Even though it took you a while, at least you said something. You could have just as easily said nothing and taken advantage. Seems like you’ve got a similar issue to mine. Our subscriptions should have expired, but haven’t. It kind of makes me wonder, how many other people are in a similar situation but have chosen not to mention it.

I feel bad for not saying anything sooner, but I guess late is better than never.

hi so i tryed to cancel my payment every month, but i couldnt figured out how you canceled it, so ended up deleting my account thinking that would stop the billing , but my account has been gone for like 2 weeks and i just had another payment charged to my card , is there anyway i can stop getting billed , my old account was pwgs2490

Go down to the bottom of any page to the FAQ, there are directions there on how to cancel your account.

I’ll also alert Admin to watch for your message.

Can anyone tell me the difference between being a paid subcriber and a non-paying member

As a subscriber, you have access to every show, episode, and movie on the site. With a free membership, you only have access to the first two episodes of some series, and the complete runs of a few shows.

Also, as a subscriber, you are contributing to keeping the Anime Network website online and active. It’s subscribers like you (if you decide to subscribe) that have made it possible for TAN to bring us Demon King Daimao and Highschool of the Dead on simulcast and new series like Maid Sama! and Tytania to the Online Player before they made it to VOD! (Sorry if I sound like a PBS station beg-a-thon host…)

Hey, I LOVE PBS, so don’t be hating on the pledge drives!
Support Anime Network and support your local PBS & NPR station! (Or else we’ll send ninjas to your house!)

Now, if you’ll excuse me, MI-5 is on, followed by Nature and a repeat of tonight’s Masterpiece Mystery.

It is “She Who Must Be Obeyed”!

Go to Blog / Important Notice for Anime Network Online Users - Anime Network and click on Registered.
Compare that with the list of shows when you click on Guest.

To determine which shows have one or two episodes available for free versus the entire series for free, you’ll have to click on the individual shows one at a time.

I sent an e-mail a few days ago in regards to my free access to premium content. I haven’t recieved a response, perhaps because I didn’t include a reply address. I just figured that sending someone an e-mail would give them your address.

I’m wondering if I should resend the e-mail or something…
