Our Online Player has 3 tiers of content: Guest, Registered Users and Premium Subscribers. We have some shows that are entirely available to Guests and Registered Users. The rest of our shows have the pilot and second episodes available to watch for free, while the rest of the season/series requires a viewer to be a Premium subscriber.
So essentially, the main benefit of a subscription is having access to the entire catalog of content. Premium users also get first dibs on watching these shows and features, plus from time to time we run special offers only available to our subscribers.
Subscriptions to our online player, like our Cable VOD services contribute to our ability to continue licensing new content, along with adding new features and services.
So about two weeks ago, I posted here about an issue I was having regarding my subscription. (that post can be seen http://www.theanimenetwork.com/component/option,com_kunena/Itemid,65/catid,5/func,view/id,55802/limi). Apparently, even though my subscription was canceled and my credit card hasnāt been charged at all, I still have access to all the premium content. I was told that my issue was forwarded to an admin, but nothing ever happened. So I wrote an email about this two days ago. I havenāt gotten a response yet. All I want is that my premium access be removed (since I shouldnāt have it), and to be assured my credit card wonāt be charged until I subscribe again (as soon as my premium access is removed).
Sounds like weāre in the same boat, Hornet. Iām still waiting for a response, too. I hope everything gets worked out in time for episode 6 of High School of the Dead tonight! =)
I just checked on your accounts and the billing has been cancelled. Your access status should be set to Registered this afternoon (It may actually be reset now). You guys were in a batch of account fixes that were taken care of this morning.

Iām going to be subscribing as well, so Iāll be getting premium content, just not for free. Iām glad to support TAN and help make simulcasts like High School of the Dead possible.
I renewed my premium account last week and was able to watch episode six of HSotD without issue. This week, however, when I log in to try and watch the new episode, my account has somehow reverted to āRegistered.ā Thinking there was some issue with my cookies or some such, I log out and log back inā¦and now I seem to be stuck as a āguestā and remain unable to access the show I paid for access to. I checked my credit card; Iāve been billed for the three month term I signed up for.
This is, frankly, completely unacceptable, and I would like to see it remedied as soon as humanly possible.

Try to click on āWatch Anime Nowā on the front page and see if your status changes to PREMIUM. If not, then go ahead and send the email to subscriptions. Thanks.
